Ideation
We starting thinking about this project as kick off in January, thinking about what the style would look like. We analyzed Planned parenthood brand, what their message meant, and what styles do they usually preferred. We then started sketching so character designs for the escort might look like based off of the moodboard.

Production
After some feedback and careful consideration, we landed on the more traditiuonal and loveable style of UPA flat animation. This gave us the freedom to design simply to save time for lots of animation and revisions. Once the style was approved, we went straight into storyboarding for their provided narrative script.

Animatic
January was coming to an end, and we had gone through storyboard revisions and style changes so that we could put together an animatic to help the client visualize what the animation would look like.
Animation
It was now febuary which m,eant we had a month to finish the animation for the big event on March 5th. To save time, we jumped straight into After Effects to start designing, using the software's design tools to create quick turnaround style frames that were instantly ready to be animated. We also kep out files VERY organized. We created checkpoints for each version, and every iteration was carefully managed.

Client Comfort
The animation turned out wonderfully, but what was even more pleasant was the relationship with the client. We made sure to touch base with the client every week, sending an email update almost daily and planning an hour-long checkpoint call with the client.
